Camera Bootcamp

About this event

The material covered in the workshop will be the basics of exposure - aperture, shutter speed and ISO. We will also cover white balance, exposure compensation, histograms, the different camera modes and how and when to use each. The purpose of the workshop is to provide a general understanding of the basic operation of modern DSLR and mirrorless cameras for those new to photography.

After retiring and relocating to Florida, Roseann joined the Beaches Photography Club, where she became a volunteer. Her background naturally transitioned into instructing club members. She now teaches Camera Bootcamp and Light Painting classes, helping photographers of all levels build confidence, master their equipment, and explore creative techniques.

Photography has been a lifelong passion. As a child, Roseann was drawn to capturing moments and stories through the lens. That early interest grew into formal study when she began taking photography classes in Charlotte. She later became an intern with the Professional Photography Group in Charlotte, assisting with classes, photo shoots, and eventually assisting with photo expeditions.
